Kitsap Humane Society runs a shelter for lost, abandoned and unwanted animals. Some of those animals then become available for adoption. They have educational programs for schools and the general public and also do animal assisted therapy, where pets are shared with nursing home residents.  You can also search for your lost pet online, if they have it, it will be online!  This agency is now taking donated vehicles.

Sells gently used items, including clothing, home goods, décor, electronics, books, kitchen items, dinnerware, and other items at low cost to the community. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. Donations accepted for clothing, shoes, pet care items, housewares and décor, furniture, antiques and collectibles, toys, and more.

Provides veterinary health care clinics by appointment and access to a pet supply bank. Households can access the pet supply bank monthly without appointments or pre-qualification. Veterinary care is offered by appointments or walk-in pre-scheduled drop-in clinic dates. Dates of drop-in clinics are available on website and phone voicemail. Information can also be provided in person during regular hours. Does not offer emergency, urgent, or walk-in veterinary care outside of pre-scheduled drop-in clinic dates. At veterinary clinics, maximum of two pets per household will be seen. Services include: - Basic health exams. - Vaccines. - Flea and de-worming treatments. - Pet supplies. - Discounted animal licensing. Accepts donations of new and gently used pet supplies and some medications. Check website for specific donation requirements. Cannot accept: Any food past one year of expiration, CBD treats or supplements, retractable leashes, shock collars, electric collars, or prong collars. Volunteer opportunities are available.

Horses have been shown to help folks with disabilities. Puts people with gentle equines that help them. They may only groom or pet. Also offers horseback riding and carriage lessons.

The program provides nearly 1 million meals per year of donated pet food delivered by volunteers to families and food banks throughout the region. Assists in finding foster homes for displaced animals, care for abused animals, return lost animals to owners, no-kill animal sheltering and adoptions, and find permanent homes for animals without owners.
