Assessment - a comprehensive, face-to-face diagnostic interview to identify areas of concern as described by the individual. We collect a social, behavioral, and mental health history, document the student's history of involvement with alcohol and other drugs, as well as any other health concerns. Assessment starts the development of an individualized service plan. Intervention - a formal response to behavioral health risks intended to increase understanding of chemical dependency and to identify and reduce risk factors associated with developing substance use disorder. Treatment - Outpatient services are are guided by an individualized, formal treatment plan and vary in intensity and duration. Services include individual, group, and/or family counseling. Continuing Care - Provides ongoing support, reinforcement, and case management for individuals who are attempting to maintain a recovery lifestyle and are at risk for relapse or other behavioral problems. Several locations offer mental health services in addition to substance use disorder services.   

Offers substance use assessments and support through Foundational Community Supports. Drug and Alcohol Assessments Assessments are offered in-person, through tele-health, and a mobile assessment. Community Navigators Provides Foundational Community Supports to those experiencing homelessness. Services can include providing navigation and support to help remove barriers around housing and employment.

Provides a wide range of general medical care, immunizations, mental health evaluations and counseling services, diabetes testing, sexually transmitted infections testing and treatment, breast cancer screening, tobacco cessation programs, addictions assessment and treatment, and Oregon Health Plan (OHP) eligibility assistance.

Offers a number of individualized services for Yakima, Kittitas and Benton/Franklin County schools and other youth organizations. Services include the SAP Programs, educational and prevention seminars, workshops for teachers and leaders of youth organizations, and support groups for adolescents. Also provides screening and brief intervention, assessments and referrals, therapy groups, and educational services for high-risk adolescents; all services are confidential. Can assist with: - Schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders - Anxiety Disorders - Gender Affirming Care for Gender Incongruence - Trauma and stressor related disorders (from domestic violence, sexual or other abuse etc.) - Substance Related and Addictive Disorders - Bipolar Disorder - Some Neurodevelopmental disorders - Personality Disorders - Dissociative Disorders - Obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) - Disruptive, Impulse-Control disorders. Some locations provide enhanced case management for enrolled clients. All services are culturally respectful and designed to foster client's attainment of stability and growth consistent with their individualized goals. DUI Evaluations Provides a court-ordered assessment of individuals who have been charged with driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol to evaluate the severity of their problem and make a recommendation to the court regarding appropriate intervention services. Using various tests, screens, and questionnaires the counselor gathers data revealing the extent of the client's involvement with alcohol and other drugs. The client’s point of view of his/her substance use, and other verifiable, or objective data (e.g., BAL at time of arrest, driving abstract, etc.) are needed to make the diagnosis. Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) laws mandate that all persons convicted of DUI/PC shall complete a Substance Use Assessment at a DOH Behavioral Health approved facility. MERIT is a WA State approved facility for DOL Assessment, ADIS, Treatment, and Completion Reporting.

Length of service can be anywhere between six months to two years depending on the needs of the individual and/or court order.   Intensive Outpatient Treatment   Provides outpatient substance use disorder services that usually requires 9-20 hours per week of attendance, which may include individual and group counseling, 12-step meetings, social and recreational activities, educational and vocational services, life skills training, primary health care, perinatal health care, a program for family members, relapse prevention services, a continuing care program and supportive services (such as child care, transportation and parenting skills development).   Agency provides DBHR-certified service(s).

Deaf services clinicians provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment addressing mental health and substance use disorders to King County children, adults and families. Offers direct access to care in sign language and understands the unique needs of people who are Deaf, hard of hearing or Deafblind.
