Provides 24 hour crisis outreach and stabilization services to homeless and unstably housed young adults living in shelters and/or transitional housing in King County who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Provides 24-hour crisis outreach and stabilization services to homeless and unstably housed young adults living in shelters and transitional housing in King County who are experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Specially trained teams go to shelters, housing programs, or other locations as needed to help de-escalate the situation and resolve the immediate crisis.
The team works with young adults to implement ongoing services and support to mitigate future crises. The team provides mental health and suicide risk assessments and links to community resources. Based on the young person’s needs, support can be provided for up to 8 weeks following the initial crisis.
Examples of behavioral health crises are self-harm, suicide ideation, aggression or violence, sudden changes in behaviors or daily functioning, anxiety, depression, and disruption in the living situation.
