Auburn School District provides transportation from the four middle schools to the gym between 2:30 and 3pm daily and back to the four middle schools. Licensed Childcare at the Joel E Smilow Clubhouse at Rainier Vista serves youth primarily in grades K-5th and focuses on the development of these youth in a variety of social, recreational and educational settings. The school-year program is structured with activities, homework help, athletic skill development and a low staff to student ratio.  Participants follow an individual education plan for continued academic success, and staff works in conjunction with teachers to provide further assistance to our members.  Boys and Girls Club “Wanna Play” and “Triple Play” curriculum fosters healthy lifestyles and keeps our kids active after school.

Provides a homework assistance program through structured after-school study halls for all grades. Offers one-on-one tutoring as needed for those in fifth grade and up as well as an organized tutoring program. Computer access and basic computer skills tutoring are available.

Developmentally appropriate activities are offered and the integrated program serves children from the community as well as children with special needs referred by the Lake Washington School District.

Extended day program provides low-cost supervised care before and after school for students enrolled in the Lake Washington School District.   Activities include sports, crafts, reading, films, free time, and homework-finishing.   Aid to student ratio is 1:18 at most.   Snacks are provided.   Offers no day services outside of regularly scheduled hours.   Schools with Extended Day: Bell, Clara Barton, Franklin, Frost, Keller, Peter Kirk, Lakeview, Muir, Rockwell, Rose Hill, Sandburg and Thoreau elementary schools.   Additional elementary schools have after-school programs run by Boys & Girls Club of King County - Redmond and Sammamish as well as the YMCA of Greater Seattle.
