ABCD focuses on preventive and restorative dental care for WA Apple Health (Medicaid)-eligible children from birth to age five, with emphasis on enrollment by age one. It is based upon the premise that starting dental visits early will yield positive behaviors by both parents and children, thereby helping to control the caries process and reduce the need for costly future restorative work.

Provides dental referrals for children ages 5 and younger in Island County with Apple Health for Kids or Provider One card. ABCD dentists offer dental exams, fluoride varnish applications, parent education sessions, fillings and other dental work as needed.
