Offers a variety of classes on pregnancy, labor, birth, breastfeeding and parenting. Technology equipment available for people to attend the classes. BASIC CHILDBIRTH PREPARATION CLASS:   Addresses the last months of pregnancy, childbirth and early postpartum.   Teaches relaxation and breathing techniques.   Class meets for seven sessions before the birth and one postpartum reunion class.   LABOR AND BIRTH:   This short course is to prepare for or review childbirth.   Meets for one eight hour class or two four-hour sessions. BREASTFEEDING CLASS:   Offers helpful hints and information on breast feeding for expectant and new mothers; babies are welcome.   Private classes may be available. SIBLING CLASS:   Prepares children ages 2. 5 to 7 for the pregnancy, birth and homecoming of a new family member.   BABYSAFE AND INFANT CPR:   Infant safety class for new and expectant parents and other caregivers who want to learn infant CPR and ways to prevent accidents and/or injuries for the baby younger than one year of age.   NEWBORN CARE CLASS:   Offers information about baby care during the first weeks of life, including diapering, cord care, bathing and comforting.

Parent Child Health supports families in Kitsap with multiple programs. Our staff is available to provide referrals and guidance to all pregnant and parenting families in the county in multiple languages. A free, personal nurse for first time, low income mothers. New mothers receive support, education and valuable resources to be the best parent they can be.

Opioid treatment provides care coordination for individuals with opioid use disorder. Care navigator assists in referring individuals for evaluation for medication-assisted treatment and offers assistance in accessing comprehensive medical and social support services. WIC program aims to improve the lifelong health and nutrition of women, infants, and young children in Washington State. WIC provides health screening, nutrition education, selected nutritious foods, breastfeeding support, and referrals to other health and social services.

Offers perinatal and early parenting support services to meet the unique needs of each family through highly qualified, culturally matched doulas and lactation support peer counselors. Programs include: Doula Services, Lactation Support Services, Peer-Support Parenting Groups, Childbirth Education, Family Support Services, and Community Events & Trainings.

The Center offers general outpatient clinic services. Provides general comprehensive medical and dental, mental health and substance abuse counseling, WIC, family planning, community health outreach (CHR) and health education.

Offers a drop-in Lactation Support Group. Led by a Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Offers opportunities to ask questions, meet other parents, and receive support.

Provides IUDs, vasectomies, contraceptives, sexually transmitted disease screenings, pap smears, and reproductive health counseling. Pregnant patients get one-on-one support from a Certified Community Health Worker and Registered Nurse throughout their pregnancy. Also provides education on a healthy pregnancy, and helps arrange lab work, ultrasounds, and doctor visits. Postpartum services, including support with feeding your baby, breastfeeding and breast pump support/teaching, and mental health support as well as family planning services.

Provides a nutrition program and food assistance for pregnant and postpartum women and infants and children under age 5.   Offers: -  Nutrition and health assessments and education -  Breastfeeding counseling -  Vouchers for specific nutritious foods -  Health screenings and referrals -  Referrals to other health and social programs Monthly benefits are valued at approximately $150 for a family of two per month for nutritious foods. Families can also use their WIC QR code to spend summer Farmers Market benefits and monthly Fruit and Vegetable benefits at approved farmers markets and farm stores. Participants can receive $28 of Farmers Market benefits, with a maximum of $84 per family.

Offers midwifery-led pregnancy care that includes visits with a midwife or physician, birth and postpartum doulas, and lactation education and support. Families choose to birth in their home, a birth center, or the hospital. Provides annual preventive visits that can include - STI testing - Birth control refills - School/sports healthcare exams Appointments available anytime for issues such as - STD exposure - Initial birth control consult - Pregnancy testing - Lactation support

Provides peer-to-peer breastfeeding and chestfeeding support through phone/email counseling and in monthly group meetings as well as educational materials. Coordinates a network of volunteers who are available to provide timely, free information and counseling on breastfeeding, chestfeeding, pumping and weaning.  

Maternal Health Services provides community-based programs and services focused on providing preventive health and education for growing families throughout Central Washington. With a staff dedicated to giving families a healthy, hopeful start in life, Maternal Health Services offers programs in genetic counseling, maternity support services, maternal child health home visiting and coordination of regional perinatal improvement programs. Services available: - Central Washington Genetics Program: Offers genetic counseling, specialized genetic testing and diagnostic services. - Maternal Child Health Program: Provides office and home visits by a community health nurse or a licensed counselor. Women at risk of premature delivery may need prenatal education in their homes, while others may want to learn how to enhance their child's early development. For those who need assistance with nutrition, a WIC (women, infants and children) program is located adjacent to the Maternal Health Services office. By giving women the information and support they need to make healthy choices, Maternal Health Services strives to promote healthy babies and strong families. All services are available in English and Spanish.
