WSU Jefferson County Extension advances the knowledge, addresses the issues and provides access to education that is relevant, timely and inspiring and that allows our community to adapt and remain vigorous. Programs include:  - Economic Development  - Small Farms  - 4-H Youth Development  - Master Gardeners  - Water and Natural Resources  - Forestry and Energy.   WSU Extension provides educational support and advocacy to families, children, businesses, non-profits, governmental agencies, individuals and more!

Peninsula College offers a diverse range of educational opportunities, including two-year transfer and career degrees, as well as a Bachelor of Applied Science in Management with various specializations. High school juniors and seniors may be able to attend part- or full-time tuition-free through the Running Start program. PC also provides GED, high school diploma, High School Plus, and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. At Peninsula College, we pride ourselves on offering services for returning students who have been out of school for a short time or many years. Our Student Services Office assists students interested in classes related to degree programs, personal enrichment, or improving job skills. Additionally, the Student Services Office provides information on financial aid, child care, and other resources. Academic planning and other services are offered free to residents of Clallam and Jefferson counties. The Student Services Office is located on the Port Angeles campus, but services are available by appointment for the Port Townsend and Forks extension sites. WSU Livestock Advisors are trained and certified members of a volunteer program that is sponsored by Washington State University Extension. The program assists WSU Extension in providing information to livestock producers on raising, breeding, and housing livestock using the best farm management practices.

Assists commercial and homesteading farmers with pest and crop recommendations, as well as diagnosis of plant and pest problems. Also offers a Master Gardener program which trains volunteers to be effective community educators in gardening and environmental stewardship.

Provides support to create a thriving food and farm sector by offering classes and workshops, farmer-farmer networking, technical support, access to local markets and regional food systems, applied research and policy development.

4-H is a positive youth development program, led by caring adult volunteers, that focuses on the development of life-skills in youth 5-19 years of age through a variety of projects.  4-H learning experiences are designed to help youth "do, reflect and apply" the lesson to life situations.  4-H members build self-confidence, make responsible decisions, give back to their community, discover the value of teamwork and expand their communication skills through self-chosen projects in which they have high interest.  4-H engages youth in life skill development in order to help youth become productive, caring, capable citizens who are prepared to transition into adulthood.

The Coast to Forest collaboration between the OSU Extension Family and Community Health Program and the OSU Center for Health Innovation works on mental health promotion and substance misuse prevention. This includes a growing network of community health workers, radio stations covering communities' health and wellness, community-level partnerships and an expanding Mental Health First Aid network.

Offers educational programs on agriculture, economic development, food and safety preservation, 4-H youth development, gardening, natural resources, and disaster preparedness. Extension programs utilize volunteer outreach in the areas of 4-H, Master Gardeners, and Food Safety Advisors. Volunteers receive training and educational materials in exchange for service they provide to the extension program.

Delivers multidisciplinary expertise across academic, research, and extension, providing specialized resources for farmers and food systems contributors by working with communities throughout the state to foster viable farm businesses, optimize sustainable natural resource stewardship, and to promote scaled processing and distribution.

Learn to recognize the signs and symptoms of stress and suicide, effectively communicate with people under stress, reduce stigma related to mental health concerns, and connect farmers and ranchers with resources.

Provides education and research support to the agricultural industry in Skagit County.  Services include education and information on livestock management, nutritious forage production, insect and pest control, and animal diseases.

Provides information to advance sustainable agriculture, community food systems, and ensure economic progress for Oregon’s small farmers and ranchers and providing well rounded learning experience for current and future students interested in degree in agriculture sciences

SAgE Collaborative partners with two-year colleges to provide preparation for employment in urban and small farm agriculture. It provides cross-cultural education and training in environmental and ecological processes, sustainability, farming and food.

Peninsula College offers personalized student support in East Jefferson County via Zoom, phone, and in-person, including help with advising, enrollment, and academic services. Provides beginning and existing farmers with the planning and decision-making tools, production skills, and support necessary to develop a sustainable farm or food business. The program connects the student with farmers and exposes them to real world situations through a community-based, experiential approach.

Provides youth clubs to learn life skills through project activity, community service, and leadership. Membership is open to boys and girls from 5-19 years of age. Clubs are led by screened and trained volunteers. The program helps youth develop self-confidence, self-esteem, and basic life skills.

A workshop that provides an overview of current stressors for farmers and shares best practices for connecting farm families with resources. It looks at the current financial situation for farmers today. It also unpacks the detrimental impact of stress on the body and state of mind, providing information on how to recognize some of the signs of stress and suicide in the farming community, and how to connect people with resources they need

This curriculum is designed for farmers and can be taught one-on-one or in group settings. It focuses on providing tools, resources, and information for farmers and their families to help them through difficult situations.

The program serves farmers and farmworkers, their support networks and rural behavioral health providers by providing resources in English and Spanish related to signs of stress and suicide risk, and prevention.

Provides education and research support to the $260 million agricultural industry of Snohomish County reaching retailers, dairy farmers, livestock producers, horseman and small farm owners.  Services include (among others) workshops, seminars, Satellite Technology, and the Livestock Advisor Program which answers basic livestock management questions.
