Early Childhood Education & Assistance Program (ECEAP) is an early-education program that prepares children for kindergarten by building social and cognitive competence, as well as school-readiness skills. Child Find: Serves as a location or contact point for families in the Dieringer School District. Offers screenings throughout the school year to help identify children aged 34 months to 5 years old who may need special services in order to experience success in school. Screenings will not show conclusively that a child has special needs, but it will indicate if he or she may need further assessment. The Early Childhood Services at OlyCAP are focused on addressing the needs of families with children age five and younger.  Preschool, early childhood development, child care and family support services are offered at sites throughout Clallam and Jefferson counties.  Children enrolled receive a developmental screening, an individualized learning plan, at least two meals each day and an active learning experience on days they attend the center.  In addition to children services, each family enrolled receives support in accessing medical and dental care for their child, parenting education, home visits and help with finding needed services or resources in the community. KCR provides free preschool programs for children (ages 0-5) from income-eligible families and for children with special needs. These programs provide a wide array of services for children and families, including safe and affordable child care at many locations. Health, nutrition and dental assistance is provided along with education and developmental screenings for children.   Program Hours: We offer full-day options with extended day childcare and part-day options without childcare.
