Assistance includes online filing for a New Claim or Reopening / Restarting an existing Unemployment Insurance claim. In addition, assisting with the filing of online or telephone weekly claims. WorkSource Staff and computer access for applying online and / or receive telephone contact information to the Unemployment Insurance Claims Center. Hosts a legal clinic specifically designed to address the needs of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and couples. This clinic is run by QLaw Foundation in partnership with the King County Bar Association. The clinic is open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. At the clinic, an attorney will meet with clients for 30 minutes and provide individualized legal advice and information. Clinic attorneys will answer questions and provide information in a variety of areas including family law, immigration, debt and bankruptcy, divorce/dissolution, employment discrimination, and transgender legal issues.

Provides information, assistance, advocacy and representation to workers in search of unemployment compensation benefits.  Also assists with appeals of unemployment benefits denials, assistance with training benefits, and most overpayment, fraud and garnishment issues relating to unemployment insurance benefits.  Offers a telephone helpline staffed by representatives who provide information on all aspects of the process.  Most services are available via telephone. Also has a list of self-help resources available online. Will also assist with issues regarding Washington State's Paid Family and Medical Leave.

Pro bono attorneys work with staff and volunteer interpreters to give consultation and legal advice around family law, immigration law, landlord-tenant disputes, employment law, and other areas. Answers general questions about unemployment, Paid Leave applications, and weekly claims but cannot complete documents. Helps those receiving unemployment benefits meet job search requirements. Provides information about specialized programs, which may pay unemployment benefits beyond the usual limit of 26 weeks while the participant is retraining for a new career. Those accepted into the program are not required to look for work while in training and receiving unemployment benefits.

Provides free legal assistance and information to people who have been denied unemployment benefits. Services may include representation at unemployment benefits administrative hearings, administrative appeals and Superior Court appeals. Will also provide administrative and Superior Court appeals advice to those who represented themselves at the administrative hearings.
