Court Services offered at Mercer Island Municipal Court
Hears criminal misdemeanor cases and processes non-criminal traffic citations/violations for the city of Mercer Island and Newcastle.
Criminal Citations:
- If a citation is received from a Mercer Island or Newcastle police officer or in the mail, a court appearance is mandatory.
- Failure to appear will result in a warrant being issued for the violator's arrest.
Look for an arraignment date in the lower left-hand portion of the citation. If no date appears, the court will issue a summons to appear in court within two to three weeks.

Traffic Infractions:
- Individuals must respond within 30 days by either requesting a hearing or paying the fine in full.
