Eligibility

Mason County residents who are involved in a family law action and are not represented by an attorney.

Hours

Same-day: M, 9:30-11:30am. Domestic Court or Minor Guardianship: M, 2-4pm W, 9:30-11:30am 2-4pm. Appointments only: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Application process

E-mail, call, or sign-up on appointment sheets outside Room 201 in the main courthouse to make an appointment.

Explains the family law process if a party has to go to court. Identify and help locate forms for domestic cases and minor guardianship cases only. Helps parties schedule court hearings. Checks paperwork before a party goes to court. The facilitator cannot:
  • Give legal advice or help with legal strategy.
  • Represent a party in court.
  • Fill out forms
  • Provide assistance in adult guardianships, adoptions, landlord/tenant cases or other civil or criminal matters.
