Description
Volunteers assist seniors and people with disabilities through a variety of volunteer opportunities including; Senior Companions Program. Help seniors stay in their homes by running errands, doing light housekeeping, and/or providing companionship with weekly home visits. Volunteers must be 55+ and meet income requirements; Senior Peer Counseling (must be 55+ to apply). Volunteers are trained to provide support and counseling to other seniors in Snohomish County; Meals on Wheels. Volunteer drivers assist with weekly deliveries of meals to homebound adults in Snohomish County; Multicultural Services. Volunteers help with translation, on-site meal service, administrative needs, and classes held at Homage's Center for Healthy Living in Lynnwood; Minor Home Repair/ Volunteers assess repair needs of low-income homeowners and assist with some safety concerns; Living Well Leaders. Volunteers facilitate 6-week workshops on various health topics, including diabetes, pain, and other chronic conditions; Administration. Volunteers help with reception, clerical, data entry, outreach, and class help as needed in various programs; Foster Grandparent Program. Volunteers help youth with one-on-one support at community locations such as schools and daycare centers. The volunteers must be 55+ and meet income guidelines.
