Eligibility

Homeless adults and couples without children. Sobriety is not required at entry. Well-behaved animals are welcomed.

24/7 operations, with closures during the day on W, for cleaning.

Description

Provides homeless single adults have a safe place to sleep. Services include: 3 meals daily, shower access, laundry, lockers, housing location/counseling, weekly onsite medical and behavioral health treatment, medical respite program, and limited transportation to and from downtown Port Angeles. The shelter can accommodate well-behaved pets, emotional or service animals, and adult couples. Shelter in place is activated during "Blue Flag" extreme weather conditions.

Serenity House is the lead agency of Coordinated Entry; works collaboratively with other entities; advocates for safe, decent, and affordable housing; is the leader in developing and implementing the Ten Year Plan to End Homelessness in Clallam County; and is nationally recognized as a leader in addressing homelessness in rural communities.
