Main office is now located in Renton in the Pima Medical Institute building, second floor.

Eligibility

Families with children under age 3 as well as pregnant women. Generally family income must be at or below the poverty level. Children in foster care, children experiencing homelessness, and children from families receiving public assistance such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) are eligible regardless of income.

M-F, 8:30am-4:30pm.

Description

Supports both enrolled families and Family Child Care Partner programs by providing intensive comprehensive child development and family support services tailored to the unique needs of infants and toddlers. Promotes the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers through safe and developmentally-enriching caregiving. Supports families, including mothers, fathers, and other adults, in their role as primary caregivers and teachers of their children. Also assists families in meeting their own personal goals and achieving self-sufficiency across a wide variety of domains, such as housing stability, continued education, and financial security.

Caregiver programs provide child care development and early learning information and support. Provides technical and educational assistance to licensed child care professionals in King and Pierce counties. Early Head Start program is a family-centered, comprehensive program for low income families, tailored to the unique needs of infants and toddlers.
